Q]Where did you meet?
A] First day of school at the University of Rhode Island. Tetris techno music was coming from the dorm room next to mine, and while my mom was helping me unpack stuff, this cute guy stuck his head in and asked if he could borrow my phone to test the phone jack in his room. It was pretty much love at first sight for me, as stupid as that sounds. :P
Q]What was the first thought that went through your head when you met?
A] "Oh man, he's really cute." **NERVOUS**
Q]Do you remember what he/she was wearing?
A] I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that cute blue Hawaiian shirt he used to have. It was so adorable! ^3^
Q]Where was the first time you kissed this person?
A] LOL, we're both trying to remember. We
think it was on his bed in his room freshman year, when we were watching a movie or watching or something. It was 8 years ago, give us a break! 8|
Q]Where did you go for your first date?
A] Heh, well, we hung out so much before we were officially "together", that I have no idea what our first real date would have been. Probably Newport Creamery, or going to
Beavertail or something.
Q]How long did you know this person before you became a couple?
A] About a year and... 2 months.
Q]How did he/she ask you out?
A] It was kind of a mutual thing. We both knew each other's feelings, but it was complicated: Nick had been seeing someone when we first met in September, then I started dating a mutual friend the following summer, shortly after which Nick and his ex broke up. Then I was kind of freaking out over what to do, and Nick was all, "Baaaawww, I missed my chance!" I held out for the summer and part of autumn, then broke up with the other guy. :P
Q]Has this person ever proposed to you?
A] No, we've talked about signing the papers for tax reasons, but so far we've been able to file jointly without any problems, so there's not need at the moment.
Q]Do you and this person have kids together?
A] HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, NO. Neither of us wants kids, we would be terrible parents, and Nick's been snipped anyway. ;)
Q]Have you ever broken the law with this person?
A] We used to break into the
Ladd School all the time, and we've done a fair bit of trespassing elsewhere, but I think that's about it. Oh, and I was with him when he stole some batteries or something from Wal Mart.
Q]When was the first time you realized that you liked this person?
A] Pretty much when I met him.
Q]Do you get along with his/her family?
A] Yeah, I'd say so. They treat me like a daughter, and his brother and I get along well. :)
Q]Do you trust this person?
A] Definitely. Unless it involves remembering to do chores or finding something he misplaced. ;)
Q]Do you see them as your partner in your future?
A] Oh yes. I couldn't imagine myself with anyone else. &hearts
Q]What is the most expensive thing they gave you?
A] Hm, we don't really exchange gifts all that often... Maybe a display katana he got me back in 2001 or 2002. XD Or, like, a DVD box set or something.
Q]What is one thing he/she does that gets on your nerves?
A] Just his general messiness/leaving things all over the house and not remembering where they are.
Q]What is the thing you do that gets on his/her nerves?
A] He hates it when I'm "mean" to myself, like when I say something self-deprecating.
Q]Where do you see each other in 15 years from now?
A] Oh man, I have no idea. Definitely with dogs. Hopefully I'll be a more successful freelance illustrator with my own little studio room, and Nick... well, maybe he'll be doing more Japanese->English translation, or something with web design. Who knows?
Q]What causes the most arguments?
A] Usually decisions regarding the dogs, since I tend to plan out things in my head and have this whole list of reasons in my head for why I want to do whatever. I usually ask Nick's opinion anyway, but if he suggests something else, I'll be like, "Well, I was thinking blah blah blah." Which, understandably, tends to irritate him, and then i get irritated, and it's all kinds of fun. Seriously, though, we really don't argue much. I can only think of maybe two times where we've had REAL arguments.
