Dear Friends List,

Just spent the whole day loading the moving truck and cleaning, which was not so fun, but Beth is here, so seeing her again after almost a year is awesome! :D

We're planning to leave here tomorrow around 8am. The trip to Topeka is about 8 hours, but we'll be stopping pretty often to stretch our legs and give the dogs water. They've been pretty stressed the past couple days, so I hope the long car ride doesn't make it worse for them. My sweet babies. &hearts

Ummm... Yeah. Oh, we'll have slowish internet access through our phones, so I might be online a wee bit. I'll update when I can.

And this is a very rational, useful article on being vegetarian, or trying to support farms that treat animals humanely.

So I signed up for Facebook yesterday. If anyone is interested in stalking me, here I am. ^^; I've heard from some people that it's a good networking tool, and I also want to be able to keep in touch with people in CO after we move. Oh, our moving date has been set, by the way. We're leaving the morning of the 8th, most likely. We're flying Beth out here (for only $100!) the day before, and she'll drive the van while Nick drives our car with the dogs in it. We'll be stopping at a pet friendly hotel in Topeka, which is just under half-way to KY. Things have been very busy lately, between commissions, planning, and packing. =_=

I also got in touch with a bunch of people I knew from high school and elsewhere when I signed up for Facebook, so that's nice. :) The cool people from high school, mind you. I don't think the awful ones who tormented me are even smart enough to figure out how to use the Internet, hehe. :P


If you're an animal-lover (in the strictly platonic way!! D8), please check out this site, called Animals Matter to Me. They're working to educate people around the world about animals, and to implement world-wide regulations on the treatment of animals.
